Taking the road above Arnarstapi and drive on the top of the pass on Snæfellsnes where we start to hike. This is moderate glacier hike where we walk on sand and lava in the beginning but soon we start walking on snow. In the late afternoon we will head back to our base at the camping site of Arnarstapi to have dinner. (L, r, D)

On the third day we will head for more of unforgettable experiences and adventures. Today we will go climbing Hekla Volcano. Hekla the Hooded One is Iceland´s most famous and active volcano. With its 1491m-high summit this volatile beast dominates many of the southern vistas and threats with venting its fury again and again. Its first eruption in historical times took place in 1104 covering all farms with a thick layer of ash rock and cinders, and since then it was believed to be a Gateway to hell.
